Hi Carol
I have not heard about or from you for yonks. I hope that you have had the hip op and that this time all went well.
I hope to have mine in a few months, after I have tried to get ankle stabilized.
Please let me know how you are.
Thanks for the advice re Ancestry.co I will join I think, if I come to a brick wall I will ask for your expert advice.
My mum would love to find out more about her family and I would like to help her with that. I think it is fasinating to find out where you came from.

Hi Mel,

Ancestry is brilliant! You can connect with other members who have the same ancestors as well as searching through all the Census Returns, BMD's and other records yourself. More records are being added all the time. Now and then little leaves pop up with hints.

I'm fine thanks, my revision hasn't been as sucessful as first time round, but that's to be expected. I'm on the 18 week waiting list for my left hip which will probably be April. Do you have a date for your ankle op yet? With a bit of luck, hoepfully you'll get both ops sorted this year. I'm off to see my shoulder and elbow surgeon tomorrow - I've become addicted to surgery!

Let me know if you get stuck with Ancestry.

I will go on to Ancestry tomorow and see how I get on, I love this sort of thing. Hope to have hip op in next few months
and ankle they are going to try me with surgical boots first, so we will see how it goes.
Good luck with all of the ops, are you sure that it is not the meds you are addicted to
